MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca, the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina that year. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her streaming smash single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. When he was a kid he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. At first, he wanted to become a vet, but after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he altered his goals for his future career.
